Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Steady Jerome Spray Foam Insulation to do at your house or building. When you use the site, ask for an estimate or book a job with us, you're agreeing to them, so please read them first.

If we sign a written estimate or contract with you for a specific job, that document controls wherever it says something different from this page. Anything this page and that document both leave open is covered by Idaho law.

What we do

We're an insulation contractor in Jerome, ID, licensed and insured, and we work in Jerome, Twin Falls, Kimberly and the cities around them. Our work includes spray foam, blown-in insulation, which is loose fill blown through a hose, attic and crawl space insulation, air sealing, vapor barriers and taking out old insulation.

The service descriptions on our home page and elsewhere on the site are general. What we'll do at your house is whatever your written estimate lists, because no two attics or crawl spaces are the same until we've looked inside. You can read more about the crew on our About page.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free and done at your property, with no pressure and no obligation. Your price depends on things like the size of the area, how much insulation is already up there and what shape it's in, how many gaps need sealing first, and which material you pick.

An estimate is based on what we can see and reach that day. If we open up a space and find something we couldn't see before, like old insulation that's wet or full of droppings, buried vents, or damaged framing, we'll stop, show you, and give you the added cost before we do any extra work. We won't charge for extra work you haven't agreed to.

Prices on an estimate hold for the period written on it. After that, material costs can change, so we may need to update it before we schedule.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

We'll agree on a start date with you, and you'll need to give our crew safe access to the work area, a place to park, and power if the job calls for it. Weather, material delivery and conditions we find on site can push a date, and if that happens, we'll call you as soon as we know.

Some products, spray foam in particular, have a re-entry time, which is how long people and pets need to stay out before it's safe to come back in. We'll tell you that time before the job and you agree to follow it, because it comes from the product maker's instructions, not from us.

If you need to cancel or move a booked job, please call us at (208) 544-9045 as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials or the crew has arrived and started, you may owe for that material and work, and your estimate will say how that's handled.

Payment

Payment is due on the terms written on your estimate or invoice. On larger jobs, we may ask for a deposit before we order materials, and the estimate will say so up front.

If a payment is late, we may hold off on any work still left until the account is caught up. Where Idaho law allows, you may also owe reasonable costs we take on to collect an unpaid balance.

Our work and warranties

We stand behind our work and want you satisfied with it. If something isn't right after we finish, call us and we'll come back and look at it.

Any written warranty on a job is the one on your estimate or contract, and the insulation itself carries whatever warranty its maker gives. Beyond those, we don't make other promises about the work, including promises about how much your power bill will drop, because that depends on your house, your heating and cooling equipment and how you use them.

A warranty doesn't cover damage from things outside our work, such as roof or plumbing leaks, pests, changes other people make to the area later, or anyone disturbing the insulation after we're done.

Limits on our liability

We carry insurance and take care around your house, but there are limits to what we're responsible for. As far as Idaho law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, like lost use of a room or a rental, and our total responsibility for any job won't go beyond what you paid us for that job.

We're also not responsible for problems that were already there before we started, such as mold, rot, old wiring or pest damage, unless our work caused them or made them worse. If we spot one of these, we'll point it out to you, though we may not be the right trade to fix it.

Using this website

The information on this site is general and meant to help you understand the work. It isn't a quote and it isn't advice for your specific house, so use the estimate for that.

Please don't copy the site's content for your own business or try to interfere with how it works. We aren't responsible for websites we link to, because we don't control what they say.

Working out disagreements

If something goes wrong, call us first, because most problems get fixed faster with a phone call and a visit than with anything else. Tell us what happened and give us a fair chance to come out and make it right.

If we can't settle it between us, either of us can take it to the courts in Jerome County, Idaho, or to small claims court where the amount fits.

Which law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. If a court finds any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. Changes don't reach back to a job you've already signed for, because that job follows the terms in place when you agreed to it.
